The Studio of Uccello is pleased to announce our certification in Venetian Plaster. We are one of only a very few artisans in the Midwest offering this decorating service. Venetian Plaster isn't only a decorative finish with unique aesthetic and tactile performances. Venetian Plaster is the result of the research of generations of Venetian decorators to answer the challenge put to them by the reality of the city of Venice. In Venice, is was impossible to use marble, being too heavy for a city built on wood poles. Heavy building materials were used only as far as they were functional to the bearing structure of the building. The remaining vertical surfaces were mainly built of brick and lime plaster.
Today, Venetian plaster is a catch-all phrase for all sorts of decorative faux finishes, but only a few artisans in the United States can bring the true beauty and passion of real plaster from Italy into your world.
These plasters compliment any room or decorating style. This real product contains biocides to prevent mold and mildew from forming, yet safe to use where children are present. You will be astonished to watch the change in depth of the beautiful plaster wall and ceiling as the light in the room changes. The walls can appear to be just like new, even though they may have been done years before. Italian plaster has proven to sustain beauty and integrity for years.
Relax and enjoy the warmth and softness of Portofino and Tuscan colors. Make a dramatic statement with deep jewel tones from the North and other intense colors of the natural world. Bring calm to your space with whites and grays of the Mediterranean. There are over 1300 colors to choose from, with several attractive finishes available. The Studio of Uccello can give you or your clients the look and feel of an architectural masterpiece.
The Studio of Uccello's master artists were trained and certified at the The School of Italian Plasters on the application of imported Artenova by Safra plaster products. We welcome the opportunity to give you a personal presentation including samples of our work.
